The whole point of taking pictures is so that you don’t have to explain things with words

My Team

The way I run my business is taking in everyone’s help and opinions. Chelsea has been my best friend for 13 years! She has been my brains for the legalities of the business. Chelsea also has an extreme artistic ability. Her eye for details is incredible! You’ll see her assisting with weddings and also helping with the boudoir marathon.

My latest assistant is Elizabeth Decker. She’s so good at capturing the details that I don’t see and most importantly - keeps me straight! I’m forever thankful for her for being my travel buddy on my long distance weddings and even the local ones.

I am always looking for new second shooters, because sometimes you need backup for your backup!

Meet the Photographer

Hey there, thank you for visiting my website!

My name is Victoria Blair Thomas. Please, call me Blair! Only the bank calls me Victoria. I am in my late twenties (yikes!) and I have been doing photography for 10 years. I currently live in in Boone, but all of my life I have been a native to the Piedmont area of NC.

I've managed to get my life going pretty good here in the high country. I’m a wife and mom 24/7. During the week, I am a full time vet tech at an animal hospital. And on Saturdays, I’m a photographer. My life runs 100 mph but I wouldn’t have it any other way!

No matter how crazy things get, I would love for my clients to know that I will travel for them if I can make it happen, and any time they would like to come to the mountains for a session, I would absolutely love that! There is so much to see and experience up here, so the one thing to remember is that the day trip up here is definitely worth it!

Family

One thing I have to add is, I would not be where I am today without my family. My husband, Levi, has been a huge support system for me and has been there through it all. Just helping with our daughter Rayna, and encouraging me through all of my sessions, means the world. We have an an extended family of three horses and three dogs also. Our horses are Red, Riot, and Cochise. Our dogs are Tuff, Ana, and Soldier.

Speaking of family, some of my biggest support, and intense Facebook conversations has come from my uncle Dennis, who lives in Maryland. He’s a sports writer and photographer of many different categories. While he drives me crazy with his opinionated mindset, he’s definetely a huge help when it comes to equipment, photoshop, and odd questions that come to mind at all hours of the day.

Last but not least, my grandmother is my biggest cheerleader. If you know me, you know this woman is my very best friend. I pick on her and tell her she’s “90 and too mean to die” - she doesn’t disagree! One thing about her though is that she’s not afraid to tell me what she likes and doesn’t like from a shoot, and always reminds me to make it worth my while. “If it’s something worth doing, make it worth your time”. I think she has preached this to me every time I see her!

When achieving your goals, never forget the hands that helped you up the ladder.

Details

Let’s get down to the “real me”. I am a horse crazy individual and I love all aspects of the western lifestyle. One of my main goals, is to take my career further in that direction. I am nowhere close to that goal but it has been a passion of mine for many years.

I have many favorites, but starting with tv shows, it would be “Yellowstone”, “Game of Thrones”, and “Pretty Little Liars”. That’s probably the weirdest combination but, hey, we all have weird quirks about us.

I’m here to tell you a few more odd facts about me. To start with, I have to have sweet tea and/or coffee every day of my life. Iced or hot, it doesn’t matter because somehow I just need the caffeine. Then, there’s this part about myself that’s really hard to believe… I do not know my left and right, and in all seriousness that flaw will be the death of me one day. Also, I am a whole whoppin’ 4’9” tall! Being short my whole life hasn’t been fun, but I’m 27 years old and I’ve accepted it. Adding to the list, I have a million (not really) pairs of cowgirl boots! A few of my favorite brands are Ariat and Corral. And finally, my favorite color is turquoise. My entire kitchen and dining is turquoise and no matter how cool I find things that would go in there, I simply cannot (and will not ever) veer from the color turquoise.

Turquoise everything, please and thanks.
